Global Human Rights

Research Cluster Leader

Kristopher’s research is primarily concerned with the role of civil society organizations within social movements, transnational governance, and ameliorating social inequalities. Currently, he is developing two original datasets to help unpack the civic and political state of LGBT communities across the globe. The first is a comprehensive database of all LGBT-oriented non-profit organizations within each country. The second is an expansion of his LGBT Policy Index which captures the varying degrees to which states enforce key policies of interest to LGBT communities. Additionally, he is looking into how foreign aid dollars shape state governance of LGBT communities, particularly within the Global South.
